If any of this is sad instead of infuriating and absurd it is that he was saying things as unhinged eleven and many, many more years ago. I think it predates that book he hired someone to write that created the legend of his business acumen, though I didn't have notice of him foisted on me by the NYC media and then the national media much before then. I first saw him and Ivana on This Old House way, way back when that Vila guy was the host, showing off Trump Tower. All I could think was what a vulgar conman and con woman. And it wasn't only the gold decorations.
ReplyDeleteThe great shock of his is how many people really believed the hype, the PR the conjob and the "reality" TV. Though by the "reality TV" part of it I wasn't shocked that the "news" was pretending to believe it, they're part of the "reality" TV.
