It would be to laugh except for the fact our mass media is going to buy into this as if Trump taught Sunday school on alternating Sundays with Mike Johnson. But so what.
ReplyDeleteTo the very limited extent I ever felt I should have an opinion about Platner, it was mixed at best. But thanks to a link on Allison Hantschel's (the former? Athenae from Eschaton) bluesky I read a substack article written by a Black woman in Maine. She said *even before* the totemkopf/ domestic abuse things came out Platner was doing an unprecedented amount of outreach toward Maine's black, Muslim and other communities. I thought, "okay, this says something I can work with"

DeleteI heard Kellyanne Conway lying about Graham Platner being involved with underage girls, I think she's confusing him with the guy she worked for and works for and lies for.
Even those who know better think they know all about the "scandals" even national names in social media. I pointed out to one of them that the "Nazi symbol" was a skull and crossbones, he didn't know that till I told him. I think the very heavy turnout yesterday was a measure of support for him and getting rid of Susan Collins. I never saw a general election turn out in my town like it was when I went to vote. Next time I'm voting by mail, it was crazy.
