Funny, he didn’t say anything about that yesterday. On his Truth Social app, U.S. President Donald J. Trump has refuted earlier reports that Iran suspended ceasefire talks over Israel’s escalation in Lebanon. Per President Trump, talks never ceased and are still, even now, progressing. pic.twitter.com/XlE6Pw0Gbq

Do you think the negotiations are over now, or is this a bluff?
PRESIDENT TRUMP
I don’t care if they’re over, honestly. I really don’t care. I couldn’t care less. If they’re over, they’re over. If they’re not, you know, I think they took too much time. Frankly, I…
EAMON JAVERS Do you think the negotiations are over now, or is this a bluff?Of course. Yeah, about that:
PRESIDENT TRUMP I don’t care if they’re over, honestly. I really don’t care. I couldn’t care less. If they’re over, they’re over. If they’re not, you know, I think they took too much time. Frankly, I thought they started to get very boring. They were giving us what we needed, but I think I think they handled the negotiations poorly. It took too long. I thought they were tapping us along that’s all. Yeah, they were.

The move is reportedly in direct response to Israel’s renewed offensive into southern Lebanon.

Iranian state-backed media outlets are now reporting that Iran has suspended ceasefire talks with the U.S. over the significant expansion of Israeli operations against Lebanese Hezbollah (LH) in Southern Lebanon. According to Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, the success of U.S.-Iran ceasefire talks is contingent on Israel’s deescalation in Southern Lebanon, saying “a violation on one front is a violation of the ceasefire on all fronts.”

According to Israel’s Kan News, U.S. President Donald J. Trump is on a call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu following Iran’s announcement that they suspended talks with the U.S. over Israel’s strikes and ground operations in Southern Lebanon. Earlier, President Trump said that he had not yet been made aware of the move by Iran.On the same day, Trump said he didn’t know Iran had broken off talks, said he didn’t care if they had, and said what he repeated today:
This comes amidst reports that the U.S. pressured Israel to forego strikes on Lebanese Hezbollah in Beirut, Lebanon.
So, sure, maybe this is what Trump meant today (who knows what he meant yesterday?):Despite recent reports that Iran has set their foot down on tying a Lebanon ceasefire to U.S.-Iran ceasefire talks, after his call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, U.S. President Donald J. Trump has said that talks with Iran continue to progress “at a rapid pace.”… pic.twitter.com/OrPbnyrW0e

U.S. Secretary Marco Rubio has also said that it can take almost a week to hear back from Iranian negotiators, due to the divisions within the decision-making framework and the multi-tiered process that Iranian negotiators take to relay information to and from the supreme leader. pic.twitter.com/Q7qrEbS0Ez

And a curious feature:Trump posted his Iran "Documents of Surrender" fantasy on May 18. Then again May 26. Then again just now. Verbatim. Three times.

Surely the third time's a charm. pic.twitter.com/vhCpPlIMD9
So:Trump has no public events on his schedule again today. The last time he was seen publicly for something other than a pre-taped interview was six days ago -- Wednesday, May 27 -- for his cabinet meeting. (He went to Walter Reed the day before.)
— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) June 2, 2026
And he’s issuing tweets saying what he said yesterday.Trump hasn't been seen publicly in 6 days, Iran talks are halted, Bill Pulte (zero intel experience) is now Acting DNI, the Pentagon classified its own press room, and it's a big primary election night.
