Peter Baker (NYT) on "Washington Week" just said a poll showing 49% favor impeachment and 47% oppose us "just like" the vote split in 2016. Ergo: "the country has not moved."‘One British official with knowledge of Barr’s wish list presented to London commented “it is like nothing we have come across before, they are basically asking, in quite robust terms, for help in doing a hatchet job on their own intelligence services”’🤨 https://t.co/oHvAMqcMe1— RynheartTheReluctant (@TheRynheart) November 1, 2019
The rest of the panel was too polite to tell him he was being stupid. (The issue of impeachment is not the same issue as who to vote for. That, and "same numbers" don't mean you are measuring the same thing.)
But it does fit into the narrative that every new report changes the story. Even though the story on Ukraine hasn't changed, but the story on what Trump us still doing continues to be revealed (and ignored be because the press is the one who can't walk and chew gum.
