The price of the idiocy of believing a Constitution set in the largely wilderness of late 18th century America can safely govern us today is paid once again, this time in lives lost and lives shattered. The U.S. Constitution is maintained as a luxury item for the super rich and comfortable and for academic and journalistic scribblers like Thomas Ricks who I understand is promoting the Founders fetish, yet again.
