I doubt that 70 million voters are aware that Trump has a Twitter account, or what he says on it. I suspect a fair amount of voters knew one thing about Trump: he is the incumbent.More than 1,000 Americans are dying each day from the coronavirus and the president is fixated on TV ratings. Over 70 million people signed up for more of this. https://t.co/krJcnacxEG

There’s a reason incumbent Presidents usually win re-election, and it’s not because they are universally successful and popular in their first term. It's basically "better the devil you know than the devil you don't know." We like to think We the People are in charge. We also like to leave someone else in charge, so we don't have to think about it. 70 million people did not make a thoughtful and well-reasoned decision, any more than almost 150 million people did.
Welcome to the world.
