If you were a Bush 2000 guy and now a Biden guy, this feel like a cake walk.

Incumbency really does have its privileges. The cry in '72 (when Richard Nixon ran again, for you children in the audience) was: "Don't switch dicks in mid-screw!" It was not a pro-Nixon sentiment. He won, easily. And then we had Watergate.Lost in the discussion about Trump going full autocrat is the reality that he still has a very good shot of winning the election legitimately even if all the votes are counted. More Americans than in 2016 willingly signed up for the worst leadership imaginable.

Which, frankly, would not be unreasonable. It also wouldn't necessarily change things. Recounts seldom do.Trump could end up switching from “stop the counting” to calling for recounts if these margins hold. https://t.co/IyS92To759

Just to underline that point, because I think we need to.In 10 days, this might look like a serious thumping.

As I was saying: a "democratic" and an "anti-democratic" party. It turns out that Never Trump was a less serious part of the Republican Party in 2020 than the ex-Whigs and Know Nothings were.

Yeah, that's still out there, too. Please go to bed. https://t.co/YHGeLmi46c

Somehow it's fitting that Trump's going to go out with a bang *and* a whimper.
