Seems Like Old Times

It took awhile for the penny to drop:  “The Squad”?  When was the last time I heard/read about “The Squad”?

Occasionally I run across a reference to a tweet from AOC; or more likely a reference to her by MTG.  But Omar?  Tlaib?  It even took me 20 minutes to remember their names (I’m old and grey and full of sleep).  Even the term is one of derision, invented by others, meant to belittle the three women.

What are they up to now?  Capably representing their districts, I’m sure.  Far more capably than MTG or Boebert or Madison Cawthorn, or any of a half-dozen GOP representatives who are constantly in some news or tweet or twitter thread.  Who even mentions “The Squad” anymore?  The GOP has moved onto RINO’s and Commies under the bed and CRT and….routers?  Yeah, something about routers.  Servers is so four years ago; now it’s routers.

And I think Gosar is doing a pretty good job of making sure he’s the face of the GOP.  It certainly isn’t Mitch McConnell, who seems to have lost his Senate rules genius mojo, though everyone is too embarrassed for him to say so.  It isn’t Kevin McCarthy, whom Nancy Pelosi has simply castrated (I swear she has his balls in a jar on her desk).  It’s supposedly Trump, but he can’t get the attention of anybody except Newsmax.  So it must be Gosar, the man who thinks C-PAC is suspiciously squishy.

People paying attention know who Paul Gosar is.  My guess is those same people struggle to remember who’s supposed to be in “The Squad.”

Or we could talk about Trump more:
Yeah, let's do that.
