"'Just say the election was corrupt + leave the rest to me' & to congressional allies, [Deputy Acting AG Richard] Donoghue wrote in summarizing Mr. Trump’s response." That's part of a pattern showing Trump's criminal planning to foment a coup:https://t.co/FqiPglOelm

It literally would have been a crime for Trump merely to have ordered the acting attorney general to march down Pennsylvania Avenue with a "Trump 2020" flag. See 18 U.S.C. § 610.

This is way beyond the pale and should be prosecuted. https://t.co/xD3WkYfDoh
I'm wondering at this point which version of the statement is the statement. Change the facts, change the outcome.Notes show Trump asked Justice Dept leader to say election was crooked: “just say the election was corrupt + leave the rest to me and the R. Congressmen." https://t.co/8nSFj6W09w

A criminal case must rest on a great deal more than handwritten notes; but it also must rest on one version of the statement, not four. All by way of saying "we GOT Trump!" or it's an "open and shut" case. And a reminder that, if the House Committee had these notes, so does the DOJ. And while I may wish them to prosecute Trump, I also want them to get a conviction. And they know how to do that far better than I do.It's difficult to overstate how much this reeks of criminal intent on the part of the former guy. https://t.co/xD3WkYfDoh
