Recipe O’ The Week

If you’re paying that much for mayonnaise you can make it yourself.  It’s mostly just oil and eggs. I’ve made it myself.  If you’re paying $200 a week for oil and eggs, you’re shopping at the wrong stores.

  1. If you want to spare yourself the cholesterol you can make it with potatoes, rice one, keep mixing in oil, viegar, salt and Dijon mustard till it's like you like it. I understand you can do it with other things but I've tried it with potatoes.

  3. I’m a mustard guy. Made mayonnaise once as part of a recipe; can’t remember why now, though it was better than anything in a jar.

    Potatoes, huh? Hadn’t heard about that one. Sounds interesting.
