Upside Down World

Wouldn’t it be a Rubicon moment if Bannon was in contempt of Congress and not charged for it? He was charged, tried, and had a court of appeals review the conviction.

It’s called “due process of law.” Without which, per Hobbes, life is “nasty, brutish, and short.” What’s actually short is Bannon’s sentence. He’ll be out before Thanksgiving.

Or is the mask off because rich white man privilege doesn’t protect all rich white men from the consequences of their actions?
Or Elmo. Or any rich, right-wing, white guy.

I’m old enough to remember when this guy was the heir apparent to Hunter Thompson. That didn’t last long.

  1. Taibbi is the most extreme example of #MeToo backlash I know of, that's about the only way it makes sense to me. Or maybe it's booze, too much bro and too much brew.
