Racism has no place in Texas.@KenPaxtonTX: will you condemn this blatant racism or will you cower to extremists? https://t.co/MWHEvrPdPV
French is running for a place on the Texas Railroad Commission (regulates oil production in Texas). Gov. Abbott is running for reelection, so he’s more of a weasel than the Senator. Abbott blames the picture:This is the Republican nominee for statewide office. Are other Republican elected officials going to condemn the intolerance and racism, or look the other way while it becomes normalized. This is how great political parties self-destruct. Sad. https://t.co/TO1dTXKd6G

“That is not my message,” Abbott said. “A selective picture of Longhorn fans celebrating our biggest home victory-ever-actually shows a way that Texans unite. We all support our college football teams.”So, does he agree with French? Or is it no big? Texans also unite for racism, asshole. At least the racists I’ve known think so. They also think the rest of us just don’t understand.
“The way we win the state is the same way we win football games,” Abbott added. “We unite under the brand of Texas.”
Abbott also defended Texas’ hard-line immigration policies, saying unity “doesn’t mean that Texas cannot also lead in having the toughest immigration laws of any state in America and freezing H1B visas at our universities.”
New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham: I think Americans have absolutely had it. And I think their question, certainly mine, is, why the people around him don’t take his crayons and markers away like you do for toddlers right before bedtime or naps. pic.twitter.com/rcJaJrmBgJ
