Wow. @JohnDingell was a WWII veteran who served in Congress for 59 years, longer than anyone in history. He earned the honors he was given, but @realDonaldTrump seems to think a funeral for a veteran / longtime Congressman is a political favor for which he is owed something. SAD! https://t.co/Os06gLCL6Z— Andrew Feinberg (@AndrewFeinberg) December 14, 2019
Not a single witness was a Democrat. They were all either avowed non-partisans or partisan Republicans (there were at least 3 of those). And yet those non-partisan and Republican witnesses laid out a clear case for impeachment. https://t.co/8X0ZlVABrq— emptywheel (@emptywheel) December 14, 2019
I used to think the NYT, NPR, etc.did this to cover their asses in order to avoid Republican-fascists screaming "liberal bias" but that's not the reason, the reason is the people in control of it like Republican's financial benefits to them, as do the people who get high salaries. When I found out how much the on-air asses at NPR made, it shocked me. The six-figure income class is as in on it as the millionaire and billionaire owners are. The NYT got them the licence to lie, they all benefit from it.
