As I was saying about curing ballots. And nobody needs to hang a hope (or fear) on recounts:

The latest report I can find from AP is that the spread in Wisconsin is 21,000+ votes. I've never seen a recount cure a spread like that, in Wisconsin or anywhere else. As my daughter noted on the phone to me earlier, if a recount reversed that kind of tally, it would call into question the entire tabulation process in that state, in all races. And rightly so. The way people vote may be screwed up, but I don't think the tally systems are as faulty as the voting habits.
