I suppose if I still went to confession I'd have to confess wishing that the innocent that they came in contact with wouldn't get it, or rather hoping that the Republicans got what they deserved from this. I have come to be suspicious about the use of the word "liberty" which is so often the liberty to be selfish and immoral. I would have to confess that even if I did pray for such people I don't love them. I haven't mastered the Rev. MLK's ability to love them even as I didn't like them, at least not when I dislike them as much as I do Republicans.
