Immanuel Kant in discussing art and life in his Critique of Judgment made much of the human capacity to treat serious business as though it were a game and conversely to conduct games as though they were serious business. You don't go to jail for cheating at golf, but you might get kicked out of the club, unless of course you own the club. You do go to prison if you cheat on your taxes and the bank repossesses your clubs.
