As Long As They Don’t Run Hillary…

...or Terry McAuliffe, they’ll be fine.

And in what universe is it a given the Dems lose Congress in ‘22 (because: history) but Trump, who lost the general twice (and both houses of Congress) and now inspires people to just vote against him, a man despised by a majority of the country, is against all historical precedent guaranteed of re-election?

Because: scary? I’m not saying the Dems should be complacent, but trying to keep everybody constantly terrified of the future has its unintended consequences, too. People get tired of being scared, you know. Hasn’t two years of Covid taught us that much?

To be perfectly clear, this is the guy we’re bound to re-elect:
I don’t see how the Democrats have a chance. I mean, I’m sure the “base” loves this stuff, but there aren’t enough of them to elect a dog-catcher. It reminds the rest of us what we got rid of. And why.

  1. I'm a lot more worried about the Republican-fascists freed from Trump but run by McConnell and McCarthy and their hoards of goons and the Roberts Court which is a more real possibility than that that obese As Seen On TV Nero will last that long and choose to take a risk at running again. I think he'll probably be a convicted criminal by then, too. But if our system would allow someone like him to run without us changing it to prevent that, we're asking for it. Our media, too.
