Will we pay attention? Or turn away from it? I would describe this as a sickness of the soul; the national soul as a product of the action of individual souls. The souls that keep the system in place, can act for its reform, even its replacement. But if it isn’t recognized as reform? If the preservation of the system is more important than the souls?
“O machine! O machine!”
Maybe this is a crossroads. Or maybe just an opportunity to reaffirm our devotion to the machine, which will surely save us.
Surely.
Ideas don’t matter. Things don’t matter. People matter.
