In Ted's world everyone would have been armed and they'd all have shot each other. Unlike in the movies, where everybody shoots who they mean to shoot, so the camera can see it.Something deeply perverse and revealing that you have a shoot out in a bank - something familiar to people in 1975 or 1875.
