The will of the American people is stated in the Constitution. And that means Joe Biden is President until Trump is given the oath of office. Now, if Biden leaves town before the inauguration and fires the White House staff and leaves the doors locked…that would constitute an absolutely disgraceful act.

A) A ministerial act is not a mere formality. It is one required by law, and not a choice of the officeholder under the obligation. It is still an official act.

B) The Electoral Count Reform Act merely codified what was the law under the Electoral Count Act and Article II, sec. 2, clause 3. Nothing substantive was changed from 2020.

C) The impetus of the Electoral Count Reform Act was due to the efforts of Trump to overturn the election of that year.
