1. I don't get the hullabaloo about DeSantis being able to "block" Trump's extradition. #SCOTUS has repeatedly made clear not only that states have a constitutional *obligation* to comply with interstate extradition requests, but that federal courts can *enforce* that obligation.

More succinctly put than I managed. Gotta start seeing that Trump enhances a slow news day, and that news services are all junkies who got used to the “hit” of Trump’s outrageous behaviors.3. I get that everything Trump is big news, and that even the remote possibility that DeSantis might try to pull some kind of stunt (if there's ever an indictment) is an attractive story.

But legally, this just *isn't* a thing. DeSantis would lose in court. And quickly.

And also that the political press hates to consider the present and loves to live in the future, because all kinds of imaginary things can be reported as “news!” Easier than playing first-draft historian and actually reporting on what just happened. Mostly that means reporting on press conferences, and that’s just boring! Right?
