Remember last year when the Trump administration claimed it had to violently clear Lafayette Square to enforce a curfew, and not because Trump wanted a photo op?

DOJ now says that federal officials cannot be sued for that violence bc it was done to secure Trump's movement.
What standard of review would you have the courts set for Presidential movement? When should the President’s movements be subjected to court review and control? When you don’t like where he went? How he got there? What he did when he got there? What party he was affiliated with?Isn’t the DOJ asserting that plaintiffs have no recourse because the President can go anywhere he wishes and his security has free reign to clear people out of the way? This is the BIDEN DOJ’s argument, no? Is that supposed to be an advance over Trump’s BS?
