So the GOP just got rid of their own Speaker after bringing the country to the brink of a government shutdown, while their presidential frontrunner is in court for fraud and getting gagged by the judge for defaming the clerk. 

The big question then: what about Joe Biden’s age?

McCarthy publicly peed in the Dems Post Toasties but still, this is their fault:

Unbelievable. The Democrats, with the help of Matt Gaetz and a handful of GOP Members, just ousted the Republican Speaker of the House. What a mess. This is so foolish. Why would anyone want to be Speaker of the House.

In fact, this morning McCarthy told Dems, “Fuck you, I don’t want your help.” Okay, then.

I honestly can’t make sense of this. No one in court agreed to anything about the value of MAL (indeed, why would they? It has nothing to do with damages, and was only a minor point of the summary judgment.)  Trump wants to make this correction-that-never-happened grounds for reversing that judgment. Ironically, on the basis of fraud.

Sorry, it doesn’t work that way. Anymore than this case can be dismissed because the AG used “FAKE LOW VALUES” in order to make Trump look bad.

Any law is unfair if you violate it, I guess. And Trump is not a “political opponent “ (based on the courtroom so far, I think this is their argument. It won’t go well for them on appeal.) The law, btw, is perfectly “constitutional.” The legislature is free to write a law on fraud that doesn’t use the common law elements.
