“They’re All Very Smart”

So Trump was pissed because Netenyahu said nice things about the sitting President.

Whoa. Trump just attacked Israel and said that he'll "never forget" that they didn't participate in the Soleimani operation. He said Israel "let us down" and needs to "straighten it out" and called them weak, saying they should "strengthen themselves up."

Which actually got the attention of the New York Times:

"Bibi Netanyahu let us down": Trump, who likes to paint himself as the most pro-Israel president ever, castigates Netanyahu during a moment of crisis, dredging up his grievance at the prime minister from his time in office.

 The White House was a bit more direct:

"We don't comment on 2024. Statements like this are dangerous and unhinged. It's completely lost on us why any American would ever praise an Iran-backed terrorist organization as 'smart.' Or have any objection to the United States warning terrorists not to attack Israel. Especially now as Israel is fighting back against one of the worst acts of mass murder in the country's history. This is a time for all of us to stand shoulder to shoulder with Israel against unadulterated evil. That's what the President is doing as commander in chief."

And if the Times even got around to this quote from Trump in their article, they buried the lede:

“Hezbollah, they’re very smart. They’re all very smart.”

The U.S. Secretary of State reports that 25 Americans have been killed by Hamas in Israel. That, alone, should stop his gob. “America First!,” right?
