Judge Chutkan asks Trump lawyer John Lauro why Trump has to call prosecutor a "thug" to advance point that this politically motivated? Lauro says what are you supposed to do in face of oppression? Chutkan: "let's tone this down" Lauro: "If your honor wants to censor my speech"

I’ve been up against lawyers like this. They know they can’t win, so they play to score points.

U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan on Monday issued a limited gag order preventing former President Donald Trump from attacking special counsel Jack Smith, his family, court staff or possible witnesses.

Because that was always going to happen.

Turns out calling a special prosecutor a “thug” and stating a witness and retired general deserves to be executed (for doing what the SecDef told him to do), is grounds for a gag order when you’re out on bond.

Judge: "To write in ALL-CAPS death about a possible witness in this case... doesn't that go too far?"

Now let’s see how many Scaramuccis Trump can stay quiet.🤫
