MAGA!

 So much winning!

Is there a better encapsulation of the GOP elected officials during the Trump years than Jim Jordan winning 194-25 GOP votes in the public ballot and then losing the majority by secret ballot?

Kevin McCarthy endorses Tim Emmer, who is quite the winner:

Sure. Anti-gay, anti-choice and called climate change “Al Gore’s climate porn.”

But Steve Bannon objects that Emmer is not MAGA, and Trump doesn’t support him either.

So the GOP continues to nail one foot to the floor and go ‘round and around in circles.

Speaking of Trump:

JUST IN: Trump spends 12 pages expressing outrage that Jack Smith wants advanced notice about a potential trial defense (advice of counsel) in mid-December. 

Then he agrees to provide advanced notice in mid-January.

Because, of course. I mean, what good is money raised for legal fees if you don’t spend it like it isn’t yours?

And Clay Higgins:

Well, the swamp won this round. 

I’m feeling very Old Testament.

...wants to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with his God. Oh, and show justice and mercy to the widow and the orphan. Or maybe this is what he means:

I was really worried about this. 😔 With great sadness, I have now confirmed that several of my relatives (including Viola and Yara pictured here) were killed at Saint Porphyrius Orthodox Church in Gaza, where they had been sheltering, when part of the complex was destroyed as the result of an Israeli airstrike. Give rest, O Lord, to their souls, and may their memories be eternal. 

The Palestinian Christian community has endured so much. Our family is hurting badly. May God watch over all Christians in Gaza—and all Israelis and Palestinians who are suffering, whatever their religion or creed.

I'd like to think Higgins meant something more like this, from AOC:

Yesterday I met with family members of hostages currently in Gaza. 

They said: “We can do it all. We can fight for our families held hostage by Hamas, stand against occupation, stand with impacted Israelis, stand up for innocent Palestinians.” 

May their humanity be an example.

Funny how the Old Testament brings Higgins and AOC together.
