Near-total telecom blackout in Gaza now, as the largest provider there has finally run out of generator fuel. No cell, internet, landline.

I still don’t know who’s doing, or reporting, the body count. I am old enough to remember daily body counts reported from Vietnam. It didn’t occur to me at the time to wonder who was doing the counting, or what was in it for them. But “independent,” “objective” journalists were actually in-country, and were in no way data mules for military propaganda.
