Engoron makes an offer to plaintiff: “Do you want to risk a reversal over one stupid document?” Engoron is all but acknowledging that this document, as well as all of Trump’s testimony today, are meaningless to his assessment of the legal issues that remain.Dan Alexander:
4/ Trump team displays misleading information in the court room, referring to 40 Wall Street as a "72 story" building. It's 63 stories, according to a bond prospectus filed with the SEC and an NYC tax document.
5/ The same slide says 40 Wall Street is "directly across from the New York Stock Exchange." It's very close to the NYSE, but it's not "directly across" from it. The Trump Organization is bringing its sales pitch to the courtroom -- and still not letting facts get in the way.The judge is preventing some grounds for reversal. The defense is doing itself no favors at all. (If they’re lying about small things, they’re lying about big things. And the judge has already seen the documents.)
(Imagine, too, if this trial had been televised. Who would still be watching by now?)
