A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Let’s just trim away those first two clauses, shall we?

He's talking about the Second Amendment, which he does not regard as, you know, giving everybody the right to do whatever they want to with guns, we know that we know his talking point."

”Whatever they want to with guns”?  As we used to say:  The stupid, it burns.  I won’t even touch the idea that Amendments to the Constitution establish absolute rights.  That’s so beyond stupid it doesn’t bear consideration.
