"We Will Decide What Your Problem Is!"

Yeah, that's not the problem. What I've heard from the head of Public Health in Arkansas is that many people in rural areas (and outside Little Rock ALL of Arkansas is "rural areas") weren't affected by the virus the first time around, so they think they got away with it; or without it, as the case may be.  I also read of a mother in Missouri whose daughter is hospitalized with covid, but she still insisted stories about it were exaggerated.  Which is pretty much the same story coming out of Arkansas.  How do you overcome an objection when they don't give you one except "I ain't skeered"?

Biden called on volunteers to talk to their friends and neighbors, family members and church members. The GOP response is to go all "JD Vance/Hillbilly Elegy," and claim a moral high ground for people refusing to get vaccinated that should make them resent the elitism and paternalism.

Then again I never did really understand what was the matter with Kansas. Or the GOP. Why are they determined to kill their own voters?

  1. One caveat: the NW corner of AR (Bentonville/Rogers/Springdale/Fayetteville/Ft. Smith axis) is plenty non-rural.
