Considering the population of Texas and the migration here (no brag, just fact), if people leave because abortions are illegal here, will anyone notice? Will anyone know?
I think it’s more likely people will vote for any politician who promises to repeal Texas abortion law. And I really don’t think that’s likely. Not likely enough to change the law in Texas. I also think it more likely the people who can afford to move out of Texas can also afford to leave Texas to get an abortion in, say, California or New York. And it's cheaper than relocating.
I wish it were otherwise. But I’m too old to live by wishes anymore.
*The answer, by the way, is: No.
I'd be more inclined to think Elon would move out if he found it impossible to get a particular kind of take-out than on some kind of principle.
