Journamalismizing

Your regular reminder that journalism requires no training or regulation, and really is about whatever the Kewl Kids are saying in the lunchroom. Not really that uncharted. We have a long history of politicians being indicted, or convicted, and still (when eligible) getting elected (eligible meaning “not currently in jail”). The uncharted part is an indicted or convicted President-elect. The only bar to holding the office of POTUS is age, prior impeachment that included a prohibition against holding federal office, or having already served two terms. So a President-elect could avoid imprisonment for four years (arguably, anyway). Which, actually, would be a strong argument against his election.

So not so mysterious after all.
If this is true: What’s the point of reporting on this speech at all? Except to say what Rupar says: one hour in and nothing newsworthy. That said, you could report this pretty much as stated: Like the “Freedom Cities” with the flying cars, this is so dumb it shouldn’t be filtered. It’s a fair cop. To not do so would be uncharted territory indeed.
A) can we just get transcriptions of this crap? B) I guess Trump isn’t worried about the women’s vote? (Pretty clear he thinks he knows what women really are, and it’s all a matter of negotiating price.) The awesome power of CPAC compels you to cover it! If you’re gonna complain about the problem, you really should provide a solution.
