And recognize that, if not for Gerald Ford and Poppy Bush issuing Iran-Contra pardons , this wouldn’t be unprecedented. And we might actually have learned enough from history by now to have avoided a Trump presidency.We can acknowledge the uniqueness of this event; we can decide for ourselves how exciting the case is as it transpires, even while knowing the indictment won't break the country. Of course the indictment won't break the country. It's still an exciting first; and it's historic.
