Finding Out

 Bankruptcy courts don't play:

According to the bankruptcy court, Giuliani is within his rights to appeal the case, but he can't use his own money that he should be paying to Freeman and Moss, to cover legal fees for the appeal.

"Any fees and expenses incurred by the Debtor and his advisors in the Freeman Litigation in connection with any Post-Trial Filings and the Notice of Appeal shall not be paid by, and shall not result in a claim against, the Debtor or his estate," wrote U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Sean Lane.

The ruling comes after a court filing from Freeman and Moss last week, asking about the Giuliani legal defense fund and saying it was "essential to obtain clarity on how the Legal Defense Funds were themselves funded."

The judge ordered Giuliani to reveal who is paying his legal fees.

Yeah, about that last sentence:

According to Bloomberg Law reporters Evan Ochsner and Randi Love, "Rudolph Giuliani's creditors, as well as the judge overseeing his bankruptcy, are demanding details about who is paying his legal fees…. Gary C. Fischoff of Berger Fischoff Shumer Wexler & Goodman LLP, one of Giuliani's bankruptcy lawyers, said during a court hearing Friday that Giuliani hadn't contributed to the fund."

Oschsner and Love add, "But Judge Sean H. Lane of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York pushed for a definitive answer, in writing. … Philip C. Dublin of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, representing a committee of Giuliani's unsecured creditors, said Friday that the committee wants an itemized account of where the money came from, how it's managed, and how it's disbursed."

Virtually everything Giuliani owns is now under the control of the bankruptcy court, whose primary interest is paying off his creditors. I bring this up because this is what Trump would face were he to file bankruptcy to avoid the NY fraud judgment or to delay the deadline for the appeal bond.  Nor could Trump file for bankruptcy, postpone that deadline, and then say "Just kidding!" and skip out of bankruptcy again.  In case you were wondering.

He does not want to touch that tar baby, because there's no briar patch for him to be thrown in.

The whole theory just assumes a more rational Trump than we are seeing in public these days:

According to a trucker going by the TikTok handle "bluecollar_trucker," drivers may want to avoid going to the state for other reasons, such as crime, traffic, and lack of parking.

"This trucker strike, nobody's talked to me about it and I know a lot of other guys on other platforms like, 'Yeah, no, we've never talked about it either.' So one it's not happening, there's no strike against New York City — not over the Trump case, but more and more people are refusing to go because of other issues," the trucker said.

Another TikTok user, samuraiblaq2.0, also said he hasn't heard anything about a Trump-influenced boycott, but also stated other reasons that truckers are avoiding the state.

"The main reason why most truckers are not going to New York City is because of the ... laws that are put in place, especially now the fact that we got to pay tolls within the city," he said.

"I've been on the radio talking to drivers for about the past hour and I've talked to about 10 drivers," X user Chicago Ray had said in the original — and now deleted post. "I don't know how far across the country this is or how many truckers are going to start denying loads going to New York City, but I'll tell you what — you f--- around and find out."

Chicago Ray did fuck around; and he found out.  The rest of the truckers (all 10 of them?) aren't even interested.  I see more than 10 trucks a day driving a few miles up and down I-10 near my home.  Taking these three truck drivers off the road in New York would just help the traffic problem; nothing more.

But Trump has spent the day sharing articles about it, so there's that.  Funny how "fake news" is only fake when he doesn't like it; not when it really is, you know, fake. And then tonight:
Falling further and further behind the times.

I think he's getting really desperate.
