“It’s Just Fraud. He’s A Con Artist.”

1000 sneakers? At $399 a pair? Trump got a cut of that, but that’s all. The Go Fund Me has probably raised more money, though I seriously doubt Trump will ever see it.

But the story Rick Wilson tells is undoubtedly true:
"One of the best quotes I ever heard about Donald Trump was from an actual billionaire in New York," Wilson recalled. "When I went to him in 2015 to say this guy is gonna be a problem, he's a billionaire. He said, 'Oh hold on wait, wait a second. Donald Trump is not a billionaire. He is a clown living on credit.'"
Back when Trump was only a candidate best-known for a reality TV show, Mark Cuban asked why a billionaire needed a TeeVee show. There was a great deal of discussion about how that show got Trump out of financial trouble. One wonders why he needs to sell steaks; clothes; ties; vodka; mattresses; water; vitamins. Vanity? Or money?

Those are not mutually exclusive categories.
Think of the known billionaires in the world. How many of them try to sell so many products, and fail so often? How many of them are selling NFT’s and gold lame sneakers? Elon Musk is Trump’s equal in narcissism and desire for attention, but you can’t compile a list of products like this with Elon’s name on them, or even associated with him: Tesla sales may be softening, but he’s determined to keep it going. Trump, as Wilson says, is “constantly hopping from one financial play to another."

I think he’s run out of hops.
Boil it down that fine, it’s pretty easy to understand. Pretty hard to ignore, too. And after Friday, it’s pretty clear his primary business is fraud. Anybody can see that.
