Joyce Carol Oates wrote a short story about a character in boots which she described as not seeming quite to have feet in them. Her description implies, in the context of the story, that the man wearing them has, not human feet, but goat hooves.
Yeah; that guy.
I’d never seen anything remotely resembling that description until now. Honestly, I don’t know how he walks in those things.
Those are the boots of Ron DeSantis. I’m going to bed now, where I’m sure to have nightmares about wee goat-footed balloonmen. And boots that fit impossibly wrong. Like a Joyce Carol Oates story.

I'm just glad Ron didn't put on his "mod, a-go-go stretch elastic pants." Though I'd guess he'd be too young to have those as well as the boots to go with them.
