Ah, but he also said he spent his tenure as Speaker trapped by the “crazies” he now denounces. He was a helpless pawn in their clutches, and yet he can’t figure out how Trump won the nomination. Even though he was a Gingrich protege (ask yer Grandpa! Punks.) and has a record of votes in the House that pretty much contradict what he’s saying now.Scoop for ya this morning: John Boehner, whose memoir is out today, tells me he voted for Donald Trump in 2020.

Worth keeping in mind as you read through book, where he spends time criticizing the former President. https://t.co/4Ff1Cu9SvS
The example of Rupert Murdoch comes to mind, who like to tell interviewers one-on-one that he wasn’t in charge of FoxNews, that was Ailes’ doing, and he (Murdoch) would look into it. Like Murdoch, what Boehner is saying now is for public consumption and to peddle his book. He got an advance, now he has to EARN it. And he’s putting more effort into that than he put into the Constitutional office he held (third highest in the land). But I guess we aren’t supposed to mention that, either.
He and Trump, warriors of the bronzer division. There are good Republicans, they left the party after the crimes of Nixon were exposed.
