This is a particularly vile and pernicious statement. As if the choice was to either vote for children in cages or to vote for children drowning in the Rio Grande. No one voted for desperation driving people thousands of miles north on foot hoping only to cross the border and receive asylum in a stable country. And if you think the solution to that problem is to match the cruelty of the conditions found south of our border, in this country, in order to turn the border into hell (“Abandon all hope....”), then you are beneath contempt and unfit to be among civilized persons.
The Federalist would seem to be punching at shadows but don't believe that the mainstream media scribblers and babblers won't take it up. It is rather shocking how pliable they are when it's well funded prep-Ivy guys who keep their Nazi armbands under their well cut suits or behind their Madison motif. They are just the skim coat on American-fascism.
