What’s distressing about US debate on Afghanistan is that it’s so solipsistic & inward-focused. The same Dems who condemned Trump’s shabby Taliban deal now loudly defending Biden. Rs who cheered Trump now accuse Biden of cutting & running. Afghanistan is just a passive backdrop.
