I’m Old

Old enough to remember when the Democrats were the “big tent” party, with everything from “Dixiecrats” (I know they were a schism, but still) to anti-war liberals. Republicans ran a gamut, too, but were a smaller party with a bit more (seeming) cohesion.

Now the GOP is run by Trump (not that much has changed, IOW, and Gingrich started it, not Trump). Democrats don’t agree on everything and the GOP is determined to require absolute agreement. So how’s that working out for the GOP? And the country?
