Say Goodnight, Gracie

A Congressional subpoena would take a vote of a committee, then a vote of the full House, and then go to the courts for enforcement. Which won’t, because Bragg is conducting a criminal investigation (to begin with).

And there Gym loses; months and months later.

He doesn’t want that kind of accountability. He’d rather rant about Bragg hiding something because Bragg won’t come testify. That’s all Gym’s really after: something to say on the TeeVee.
The career of the last politician to speak of the “silent majority” didn’t end well.

Just sayin’…
πŸ’―  πŸ˜†
I think he means "traffic." Although I am wondering why there weren’t ever any Art Deco cars. And your reminder you don’t know what the Manhattan DA is investigating, or what all the facts are:
When he says he was speaking with you and advising you, was he your lawyer at the time?" Melber asked Cohen.
"No, in fact, there are so many things about his statement which is untrue, first and foremost, that I reached out to them. I didn't know Bob Costello from a hole in the wall," said Cohen. "In fact, the senior partner of the firm, Jeffrey Citron is the one who introduced us and said we should speak and so we set up a meeting. They came. I think either they brought me a retainer or said they were sending one or a letter of engagement. I never signed it. He was never my lawyer."
Another lie is that he waved attorney-client privilege, Cohen said he'd like to know when, where and how because he doesn't remember that.
He also said that the idea that Trump was just doing a "settlement" with adult film star Stormy Daniels is absurd because there was no lawsuit.
"She was going public at a bad time in the campaign," said Cohen.
He also said that the idea that he was accused of perjury and lying to Congress was because he cited real estate deals for Trump at three when the reality was ten. It had nothing to do with Daniels or anything in this case.
I’m pretty sure the barricades were put out for the crowds who want to see Trump perp-walked in handcuffs. What shrinking minority of the population is MAGA appealing to?

Um… Wait for it... 2018 Tacopina is not buying what 2023 Tacopina is selling. I’m assuming Lieu is being sarcastic, because this is the level of argument in Trump’s Georgia Motion to Quash. Which makes this even better satire.

Speaking of Georgia, we close with our “Great minds/greatest hits:”
“I was a little worried at first, I thought it was going to be — someone said it was a 485-pound document. It turned out to be 485 pages. Most of them were just filler it was very easy and a quick read over dinner, in fact," Tribe explained. "It doesn't say much of anything. It makes bizarre claims. It says that Judge Robert McBurney was really unfair. It doesn't show anything about a supposedly unfair. On the contrary, he ruled quite often against things that Fani Willis wanted to do. It asked to have Fani Willis, and her whole office removed because they were illegal or unfair. But that effort was already made by the fake electors, and they were quickly turned away by the Georgia courts. There is really nothing here. It is just air."
He went on to say that he thinks it's another attempt by Trump to "delay," which is something Trump tries to do frequently in his cases, Tribe said.
"You could see that it shows desperation, except I can't believe that the lawyers expect anything other than a slap down," he explained. "But undoubtedly instructed by their client to delay, delay, delay. That is his go-to strategy. They did their best. And I feel sorry for them. There is no there, there. In fact, the patience of the judicial system has got to be wearing thin. I mean this is his technique everywhere. Throw everything against the wall. Hope something will stick.
Judges aren’t stupid. There’s no reason for them to continue to let Trump play his game.
