They Let Him Lose Last Time

Been reading the J6 committee report. Trump had access to power and money he won’t have this year. And as I keep saying, he keeps diverting funds to lawyers. If he loses, he’s gonna be desperate for that money. Where does he get the money for all those lawsuits? He won’t have the platform of the Presidency to speak to a crowd on J6 again. He won’t have the power of the presidency to marshal his supporters.

He won’t even have money to rent a venue for a rally. He’ll need that money for his lawyers. He’s already campaigning on the cheap. He doesn’t get richer if he loses.

And on that topic:
President Joe Biden intends to announce a landmark Supreme Court reform package that includes "enforceable ethics reform."
Biden has previously opposed making sweeping changes to the High Court, but the Washington Post reported Tuesday that the proposal would suggest term limits.
"He is also weighing whether to call for a constitutional amendment to eliminate broad immunity for presidents and other constitutional officeholders," sources told the Washington Post.
The J6 committee made criminal referrals to DOJ (a little detail lost in the blather about “lawfare”). The Supreme Court tried to negate those referrals. Connecting Trump’s legal fate to Court reform is not such a bad idea. If only because reforms that remove the impact of Trump from government are necessary.

  1. Joe Biden should announce that if he has a Democratic Congress his first request will be a constitutional amendment setting out in plain language that presidents are not immune from criminal liability for their acts in office. I'd call it the Equality Under The Law amendment, or the Democracy Restoration Amendment.
