More Of Trump’s Economic Speech

Without checking Google, I feel safe saying foreign car brands (Toyota, Nissan, Mercedes, Volkswagen at least) have been made in this country since the last century. Just not in Detroit, which is what Trump is fixated on. In your case I think that’s literally true; and that it’s very flabby from lack of use. The hey-day of the "far left" damning America was in the '70's. Not coincidentally, where Trump’s brain is still stuck. But it’s also telling that the far right has come around to aping the far left of 50 years ago. In the’70’s, leftist “radicals” wanted to tear down the republic in the name of freedom. Now MAGA wants to do that. One more reason I’m not that sanguine about how MAGA is going to split the country.  Been there, done that. Called it the years between 1964 and 1979. What I love about that stock photo is that it’s a guy with a gun shouting defiantly into an empty field.

I still don’t think it makes any difference to the election. If Jan 6th didn’t, and the select committee hearings didn’t, and the published report didn’t, and the felony conviction and three civil judgments didn’t …this won’t.

Change the reporting on the race, I mean. Who knows what’s going to affect the election?
