So Here's Where This Is Going To Go

Wait for it... And to reduce that to a tweet: The issue is treatment of patients, not "OMIGOD WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE FROM BLOOD CLOTS! Let it be noted that "vaccine Twitter" is the worst: I really didn't know what that meant, until: And to say it one more time: So, for pretty much the same reason we know hear ads that are one-quarter "Here's how this wonder drug will kill you or maim you for life, but get your doctor to give you some anyway!," we're getting CDC information that really is meant for physicians who need to know this is possible, and know what they could be looking at if their patients present symptoms, and how to treat it.  In other words, if you don't know what you're talking about:  shut up.

In any case, as soon as the CDC is satisfied they know what the risks are and how to deal with cases (and most importantly what to advise physicians about this risk), J&J will be back on the market.  And Trump, if he's not on the golf course or hosting another fundraiser so he can't rant about being the victim of election fraud, will take credit for that.

Maybe we don't need Twitter after all.  We certainly don't need Donald Trump.

(Oh, and just BTW (this particular problem has been around for half-a-century or so):
“Most people” used to be aware of this. Little knowledge. Dangerous thing. All that.)

  1. I again have to wonder if the majority of college-credentialed people were always as stupid as they are today and them not freely demonstrating that on Twitter etc. hid that fact or if modern media being what forms their minds instead of ink on paper, we really are stupider than educated people were before. Sometimes I read comment threads and wonder if people in the medieval period may not have been smarter. I'll bet the illiterate peasantry were more aware of their surroundings than people who spend their lives with their eyes plastered on screens.
