Wait for it...Statement from former President Trump on the pause of J&J vaccines: pic.twitter.com/nsL8T8kwRK

FDA/CDC call just now seems to imply that the pause is mostly to prepare clinicians to advise, diagnose & treat patients who MAY develop CVST & related conditions due to vaccination.

Glad advisory committee will meet tmrw.
Hope this pause is brief. #JohnsonandJohnson
Pause for “deliberation and appropriate diagnosis and treatment”.

“It was clear to us that we alert the public. We included the pause so physician community could learn what they needed to learn..” #JohnsonandJohnson
— (((Howard Forman))) (@thehowie) April 13, 2021
And to reduce that to a tweet:“It is possible we will learn of more cases. It is part of the reason we are taking the pause.” #JohnsonandJohnson

The issue is treatment of patients, not "OMIGOD WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE FROM BLOOD CLOTS! Let it be noted that "vaccine Twitter" is the worst:This is important: The pause on J&J will ensure that doctors get accurate information on how to treat the complicationhttps://t.co/2r8EUqNFO3 pic.twitter.com/7yx5JrlnxG

I really didn't know what that meant, until:Not saying the FDA is infallible, but maybe, just maybe, they know a little bit more about administering vaccines than polling analysts and political reporters and everyone else I see on here blasting the J&J pause.
— Jason Zengerle (@zengerle) April 13, 2021
And to say it one more time:If you are shocked about 6 women getting blood clots from the 7 million people who took the J & J vaccine, wait till I tell you about how many people died who didn’t get a vaccine at all.

So, for pretty much the same reason we know hear ads that are one-quarter "Here's how this wonder drug will kill you or maim you for life, but get your doctor to give you some anyway!," we're getting CDC information that really is meant for physicians who need to know this is possible, and know what they could be looking at if their patients present symptoms, and how to treat it. In other words, if you don't know what you're talking about: shut up.Key: “This is a recommendation, not a mandate” says CDC’s Peter Marks, leaving it to doctors to determine if benefits outweigh risk of taking J&J vaccine during this pause.

“Most people” used to be aware of this. Little knowledge. Dangerous thing. All that.)This is a serious issue with birth control medication that most people are unaware of https://t.co/g0ifdHhrFt

I again have to wonder if the majority of college-credentialed people were always as stupid as they are today and them not freely demonstrating that on Twitter etc. hid that fact or if modern media being what forms their minds instead of ink on paper, we really are stupider than educated people were before. Sometimes I read comment threads and wonder if people in the medieval period may not have been smarter. I'll bet the illiterate peasantry were more aware of their surroundings than people who spend their lives with their eyes plastered on screens.
