According To Jonathan Chait

Schools are teaching CRT because school administrators (all of them? No, just "many," but, you know, that's enough.) are not being nice to racists. Or nice enough. Or something.

I am not making this up.

Yes, CRT is a term to describe a family of academic theories that are not being taught to schoolchildren. But many school administrators are embracing its theories as the basis for their anti-racist practices. Some of these lessons are reductive, employ shaming, and are ineffective. Repeating over and over that these lessons are not, strictly speaking, CRT is a way of shutting down any channel for identifying and correcting errors.

Why does the "third way" always involve Democrats admitting the Republicans might have a point, and that Democrats really should try to be more like Republicans so we can all get along and get (some) things done?  Like win elections, because apparently it doesn't matter who wins (because you need to be more like Republicans to do that, or at least acknowledge they aren't wrong about being offended by your being offended by racism), it just matters that you win.

I guess we can start by admitting CRT is totally wrong and basically communism and fascism and totalitarianism, and besides its icky!  Right?
