That is sad news. He was a genuine talent big enough to critique his most known work. I can still listen to some of his things if I don't over-do the repeats. There's not another musicals composer I could stand that done without it being treated by a good jazz musician. A great teacher too, I learned a lot from watching videos of him coaching singers. Some I incorporated into my teaching. If I ever get back to it.
