The second amendment is really about who gets to threaten and commit violence. It's the kind of right that wealthy slave owners would think important. So in America particularly white men get to threaten and commit violence with firearms. Our current supreme court is only going to make this worse. This right to be secure in person and property (interesting how unenumerated rights, like privacy for birth control are terrible, except when they are not) means others get to be less secure in their person. The application is deliberately unequal.
