Seriously. I've had enough. And the government has until Monday at 5 before the Court makes the injunction permanent. Which at least sweeps it on to the Supremes in record time. But seriously? Aw, fuck them. The Fifth Circuit has stayed enforcement of the Biden administration’s private-employer vaccine mandate — not because it actually applied the right test for such emergency relief, but simply by asserting that the mandate raises “grave statutory and constitutional issues.” pic.twitter.com/NGSknZ5CRH

This isn’t just the same *court* that has bent over backwards to allow #SB8 to go into effect (despite “grave constitutional issues”); it’s the same *panel* that reached out to prevent the district court from even *holding* a preliminary injunction hearing in the providers’ case.

Yeah, and ain't that a fuckin' joke. Choke on it, Alito. But, Steve, we have been recently advised, repeatedly, that the courts are not partisan in their work.

"Justice" as getting people killed in large numbers. Judicial reform is one of the pressing issues of our time, it always was but it strikes me that it's getting worse. There should be a 10 year term limit for Supreme and upper level courts, no psychopath should get more than a decade of dictating their depravity to us. That and a lifetime ban on any involvement with those who were before their courts while they were on it, especially making or taking money from them. Not that the present day courts don't do that and often cover it up.
ReplyDeleteThe test is irreparable harm. You can meet he requirements by getting tested. What is the irreparable harm in getting tested? Are we getting to a point where the SCOTUS is going to be hearing a case every week on injunctions involving the government? Wr are moving rapidly in the direction of a disfunctional government if the justices are going to act as the grand council operating in real time over every decision of our actual elected government.
