Which is why he won the 2020 election after all? Why none of the rioters at the Capitol are in jail? Why Trump is not the subject of at least 4 investigations, and Steve Bannon is facing jail time for contempt of Congress and has already surrendered on a charge of criminal fraud in New York?
Been more than a few defendants to crimes on Jan 6 who claimed they were "sovereign citizens" not subject to the jurisdiction, much less authority, of the court. Where are they now? Most of them are in jail, serving time for their crimes.
I really don't understand the point of nonsensical statements like this. Might as well say Trumpers think the law of gravity has been suspended by Trump's divine fiat.
Remember the story of King Canute? He wasn't the one who said he could stop the tides from coming in; his followers said it. The real moral of the story is that the fools have always been with us, and always will be.
Maybe we should quit trying to be afraid of this brave new world which is neither brave nor all that new.
Boom? Berlansky is shooting blanks.
