Monkeyshines

The only narrator of this story has been Elmo. Apple never announced it was banning Twitter from its App Store, or even considering removing it. And Apple hasn’t commented on this meeting with Elmo. So everything we know about this story, from soup to nuts, is from Elmo.

And Elmo isn’t an unreliable narrator. He’s a liar.
As Orwell said, sometimes the hardest thing to see is what is right in front of your nose. As Paul Simon said: “A man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest.”

And, of course, you can’t fix stupid.
I’ve read that statement six times, and it still makes no more sense than a speech by Herschel Walker. He doesn’t say what the microchip does, how it protects us against a “superior intelligence,” or what he hopes for it. In fact, he sounds like a twelve-year old who got an idea from a comic book.
